Placer County Fish and Game Commission Seeks Grant Proposals

Auburn, CA…The Placer County Fish and Game Commission is soliciting grant proposals from non-profit organizations, schools, other organizations and individuals. Recipients must use the money for education, habitat improvement, or enforcement activities related to Placer County’s fish and wildlife. The maximum award amount of any single grant is $1,000.

Grants are available for projects consistent with the intent of the California Fish and Game Code, Section 13103. The deadline to submit grant applications is October 12, 2012. Successful applicants must reapply for grant monies each year.

The Placer County Fish and Game Commission consists of seven members appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Commission serves as an advisory entity to the Board and coordinates efforts in habitat restoration, public awareness and natural resource education.
