Tahoe Fund Names Amy R Berry CEO

Tahoe City, CA…

Dear Friends,

I am honored to share some significant news with you. After 18 months as a volunteer organization, today we named Amy R. Berry as the first CEO of the Tahoe Fund. A full-time CEO means we will be able to continue to do the important work of raising funds for environmental improvement projects that will restore and enhance Lake Tahoe. This is a major milestone for us made possible by the generous support of our donors.

Amy joins us from ACCIONA Energy North America, where she was director of marketing and communications and a member of the management committee for the North American arm of one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies. She is a seasoned business executive with a successful career in building brands, developing corporate strategies, attracting media attention to causes, and fostering community relations. A resident of the Reno/Tahoe area since 2003, she was chosen from a pool of 60 candidates in a five-month nationwide search that was led by an independent search firm.

It is already shaping up to be a busy summer for us. We will again be the organizing sponsor of the Lake Tahoe Summit hosted this year by Senator Dean Heller. This is a very important event that brings together federal, state and local leaders to discuss the future of Tahoe. And one that the Tahoe Fund is very honored to again be sponsoring. The Summit will be held on August 13th at Edgewood in South Lake Tahoe.

We are also preparing for our 2nd annual dinner on August 12th at the White House at Edgewood. It is sure to be another sell-out event as we come together under the stars to again celebrate all that we love about Tahoe. Please save the date!

Amy is officially on board with us as of today. Please feel free to reach out to her with any questions or comments at aberry@tahoefund.org.

Best Regards,

Cindy Gustafson
Board Chair
