Mosquito Lake, CA…Alpine County Sheriff Deputy Karl Benson was on patrol Sunday operating a snowmobile. While attempting to turn around on frozen Mosquito Lake, his 2010 Ski-Doo rolled over, pinning Deputy Benson. Deputy Benson was air-lifted to Renown Hospital in Reno, NV
Deputy Benson sustained major injuries in the accident. The CHP release accompanies this article..
