Charles Michael Mose, 43 Passed Away Along Carson River

Carson River…Investigators of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have identified the body of the decedent found Saturday, May 21st, 2011, near the Carson River in north Douglas County as that of 43 year-old Native American Charles Michael Mose.

Mose was reported as a missing person to Washoe Tribal Police Department on May 5th, 2011. Mose had been visiting friends at a residence on the Stewart Indian Colony in south Carson City when he went missing. He was reported to have last been seen as he left for a walk along a horseback riding path near the Carson River, at the south end of Bigelow Dr, in Carson City.

The cause of death has not yet been identified; however no signs of foul play were present.

It is unknown how long the decedent had been at the location.
