Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful is coordinating the 6th annual Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup. Volunteers are needed to help clean up open space areas and pull invasive weeds on Saturday, May 7th from 8:30am-12 noon. Last year, volunteers removed over eighty one tons of garbage and invasive weeds from outdoor recreation areas throughout the Truckee Meadows. The Great Truckee Meadows Community Cleanup is part of a long-term, community-based effort to consolidate resources and provide greater stewardship of the region’s natural resources.
