San Francisco, CA…KQED hosted California’s two candidates for governor, Democratic incumbent Gavin Newsom and his Republican challenger Brian Dahle, for their only live debate before voters choose one of them to lead the state of nearly 40 million people.

The debate was moderated by KQED senior politics editor Scott Shafer and KQED politics correspondent Marisa Lagos, who are also co-hosts of Political Breakdown.
