State Routes 4 & 89 Now Open Through Tamarack Fire Burn Area

Alpine, CA…The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reopened State Routes 4 and 89 in Alpine County to through-traffic only at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.
There will be no access to the United States Forest Service (USFS) lands.
