Minden, NV…Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is providing escorts for the public through the US Highway 395 road closure from China Springs Road to the Nevada/California Stateline on Highway 395. This road is subject to full closure at anytime.
These escorts allow the public the ability to go north or south between Gardnerville, SR 208, and the Stateline. Residents will not be escorted to enter neighborhoods under evacuation orders, property which has been evacuated, or allowed to assess possible damaged areas.
Additional escorts on future dates will be determined by fire activity.

Evacuee Information:
Evacuation shelters have been established at the following locations. It is recommended that any evacuees needing shelter, food, or supplies go to the appropriate location and register. Additionally, anyone looking for information on evacuees should check in at the registration desks.
