A bit more about The Wild West Hackin’ Fest is below…

More than just a conference, Wild West Hackin’ Fest (WWHF) is committed to offering high quality information security education to beginners and seasoned professionals alike. With reasonably priced training, conferences, hands-on labs, and workshops, WWHF lowers the barrier to entry for those seeking to enter into the world of information security. WWHF also offers a venue for those already established in the industry to share ideas, give back, and continue learning.

WWHF puts teachers who love teaching into conversation with students who love learning through conferences, training, Roundup events, and Hackin’ Casts.

Conferences
Conferences serve as a crossroads for infosec professionals to respond to one others’ work, which leads to new developments and fresh insights that practitioners can incorporate into practices at their own respective organizations. In addition to some of the best keynote speakers in the industry, conference attendees can expect to find hands-on labs and engaging workshops in a highly interactive environment.

Training
Training courses range from introductory-level courses that engage beginners to specialized courses focused on topics at the cutting edge of information security. WWHF always seeks to set fair prices on training courses so that budgetary constraints do not impede the professional development of budding infosec practitioners. With free and “Pay What You Want” courses, WWHF veteran instructors commit themselves to sharing knowledge and experience gained over the years. Moreover, WWHF seeks to fairly compensate instructors who dedicate countless hours to creating courses and materials for others to benefit from.

The Roundup and Wild West Hackin’ Casts
The Roundup brings together some of the brightest minds in the industry to discuss a particular topic at the frontier of infosec. Regularly scheduled Wild West Hackin’ Casts—which include hands-on workshops, discussions, and presentations—feature infosec professionals sharing their knowledge. Attendees enjoy both The Roundup and Hackin’ Cast events free of charge.

Wild West Hackin’ Fest always strives to be generous, invitational, and fair with students, teachers, and the infosec community at large.
