Markleeville, CA…The closure for Westbound State Route 4/Ebbetts Pass has been shifted back to the SR-4/SR-89/Monitor Pass junction due to a mudslide. This is expected to be a long-term closure, due to the location of the slide, the weather and the difficulty in accessing the roadway where the slide took place.

Eastbound SR-4/Ebbetts was already closed at Mt. Reba Road, as part of the standard winter closure. Please drive with care.
