Tahoe Tennis Classic at Zephyr Cove Tennis Club

Zephyr Cove  – The 31st annual Tahoe Tennis Classic Tournament is Aug. 1-3 at

Zephyr Cove Tennis Club.

Top doubles teams from across the nation will come to Lake Tahoe to compete in this

tournament favorite. Approximately 110 teams will participate in women’s, men’s and mixed

doubles.

The Tahoe Tennis Class is an all-doubles format tournament with divisions for multiple

skill levels. Registration costs $70 per player for the first event, $30 for the second, and

includes a player dinner party on Saturday, a raffle, and a tournament hat and shirt. Each team

is guaranteed two matches.

Complete information about the event and an entry form are available online at http://

www.zctennis.com/tahoe-tennis-classic.html. Teams must register by Monday, July 28.

The Tahoe Tennis Classic has benefitted from 30 years of dedication from our past

tournament directors, Hersh and Sheryl Herschman. They have passed the reigns of this

amazing tournament, but will continue to partake in the Classic as players and supporters.

The nonprofit Zephyr Cove Tennis Club Foundation now is operating the Classic. The

Foundation is run by local volunteer tennis players working to improve the tennis experience at

the lake. The Foundation, in conjunction with Douglas County Parks and Recreation

Department, has made significant improvements and renovations to the tennis facility at

Zephyr Cove.

Zephyr Cove Tennis Club has six courts nestled in the woods overlooking Lake Tahoe.

Open to the public, the Club offers lessons for all ages, membership, social mixers, and open

play. The Club is on Warrior Way off Highway 50 in Zephyr Cove.
