Tahoe Area Snow Report for December 7th, 2013 15 to 32 Inches Of New Snow Reported

Lake Tahoe, CA/NV…The 2013/14 Winter season is here and many of the resorts are open and more terrain is being opened up with last night’s reported 15 – 32″ inches reported at various resorts. This last storm was cold for great powder snow. Just a bit of a cautionary note as the bases were slight before this storm to stay on marked trails and were they were able to lay down a man made base.

Squaw is reporting 15″ of New Snow and a 22″ Base.

Diamond Peak Opening Dec 12

Sugar Bowl Opening Day with a 36″ Base and 22″ of New Snow

Boreal Their lifts are turning from 9am to 9pm everyday. They are reporting 27″ of new snow!

Northstar is reporting a 29 inch base and 18 inches of new snow

Homewood is opening December 13th

Alpine Meadows is opening December 13th

Mt. Rose is open from top to bottom with a 16-24″ base and 14-16″ of new snow

Heavenly is reporting 12 – 30″ of snow from this system and is opening additional terrain throughout the day.

Sierra at Tahoe opened yesterday on a 4″ base but has reported 32″ of new snow from this system.

Kirkwood is Open with a 12 – 18″ base!
