The Tahoe Rim Trail Says Thanks!

Lake Tahoe, CA/NV…Give yourself a pat on the back it’s National Volunteer Week! We want to give a shout out thank you to all of our 730 volunteers in 2011 who dedicated over 19,230 volunteer hours building, maintaining & promoting the use of the Tahoe Rim Trail! We are honored & grateful for the continuous support you all lend year after year!

About the Trail…

The Tahoe Rim Trail is one of the world’s premier trails. It passes through two states (California and Nevada), six counties, one state park, three National Forests, and three Wilderness areas. This spectacular trail is 165 miles of single-track multiuse trail, winding peak to peak around Lake Tahoe. It is a trail that offers something for everyone! Hiking and horseback riding are allowed on all portions of the trail, while mountain biking is allowed on the trail with the exception of the wilderness areas, the section that is in the Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, and on the sections of trail that overlap with the Pacific Crest Trail. Please refer to the maps provided on the website and at the trail heads. However, we highly encourage you to order a more detailed map from the Shop TRT or stop by our office in Incline Village for maps and more information on the trail. Happy Trails!
