Incline Village, NV….We had the pleasure of stopping by the party that Diamond Peak threw last Sunday for their new Guest Services Building. The music was playing, the food and beverages were flowing and everyone had a great time. Incline Village, NV…Openday Day for Diamond Peak Ski Resort is Thursday, December 16th! New this season is a Skier Services Building offering guests a state of the art facility that will not only house their two award winning ski schools but will also hold the newly designed ticket windows and new bathrooms available for customers at point of entry to the resort. This $4.5 million renovation changes the look and feel of the resorts base area.

In addition to the new building, there is a Plaza area for people to hang out and meet up with their friends and family. There will be stairs connecting the upper and lower parking lots allowing people to move between the lots without having to go through the Base Lodge.

The quality of the overall learning experience at the Child Ski Center will increase with the addition of this new state of the art facility. As families enter the Child Ski Center they can register their children, get them fitted for their equipment and see them off to their lesson. The snow area designated for the Child Ski Center will now be right outside the doors of the facility. Parents will be able to watch their children in the lesson as they ski by on the way to their next run.

“The development of the new Skier Services Center is the second phase of a 2 year $8.5 million improvement project. It has been designed from day one to enhance the guest’s experience. Diamond Peak has always been known for its ease of access and with the improvements it will be even more user friendly for the guests” states Ed Youmans General Manager of Diamond Peak.

Diamond Peak also has lots of fun special events planned this year including the Hyatt Regency Poker Run, the 2nd Annual Ullr Fest in January, our signature event “Last Tracks” starting in February, two Learn to Ski & Ride weeks, Celebrity Winterfest in March and the 11th Annual Dummy Downhilll in April.

Diamond Peak is known for creating an environment where kids rule, beginners feel encouraged and families can relax and have a great time. With a new look to the resort and awesome events planned; Diamond Peak is looking forward to another fantastic season.
