I-80 Has Reopened

Baxter, CA…Chains are required from Baxter on up over the pass on I-80. Caltrans had closed I-80 for much of the day due to poor visibility. Hwy 88 is still closed near the Carson Spur. At least now both North and South Lake Tahoe can be accessed directly.

Accident on Pioneer Trail

South Lake Tahoe, CA…Crews are finishing up removing vehicles from an accident on Pioneer Trail and Emerald Bay Hwy. It was a Suzuki Sidekick vs Chevrolet SUV vs a Ford F250. Tow vehicles have been delayed in responding because of the conditions. Please be careful out there
