Erik Arvidsson Skis to Strong 8th Place Finish in Saalbach-Hinterglemm Downhill

Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Austria…Former US Ski Team, Middlebury College, Squaw Valley & Bear Valley Ski Team skier Erik Arvidsson made a stunning return to World Cup skiing this last weekend! From US Ski & Snowboard “Finish area celebration of the year?! We think so. Erik Arvidsson: we are watching this on repeat and feeling all the feels. CONGRATS on your first World Cup points, first top 20, first top 15, and first top 10..all in one day, you “stud.” 🔁🤩🔁”

His 8th in the downhill made him the top American finisher in the event. It also showed that after taking time away to attend Middlebury College Erik has lost none of his skills. He kept in skiing shape skiing for his college and skied to an NCAA title.

Erik won the Junior Worlds Downhill in 2016 before stepping away from the US Ski Team for college. The now 24 year old has returned to World Cup Skiing a slightly older, wiser and still very, very fast young man.
