Reno Buddhist Center’s New Year’s Eve Multi-Faith Service

Reno, CA…Reno Buddhist Center will host its annual New Year’s Eve Multi-faith service. What an inspiring and positive way to welcome the 2020! This celebration is open to everyone in the community no matter what faith background. Many faiths will speak on the theme of “Compassion” from their traditions. We will also enjoy musical performances from Jim Eaglesmith, Tsurunokai Taiko, Colleen Akiko, Michael Dilsizian, Brian Melendez and Reno Kundalini.

Guests will gather at the Buddhist Temple at 10:00 pm for tea and treats. The service will start at 10:25 pm with ceremonial bell ringing and chanting. Invited clergy speakers will uplift and inspire guests with words On Compassion. Everything culminates at 12 midnight welcoming in the New Year with a dramatic drumming-in of the new year. Everyone is welcome to attend to this spiritually uplifting and wholesome way to celebrate the New Year!
