Garrison is the classic success story, working his way up the ladder rung by rung to the top. He began at the Ridge Tahoe in October 1982 as a driver with the promise if things worked out he would become transportation manager. He did, and within a few years doubled operations. His path included positions as purchasing manager, assistant resort manager, assistant general manager, vice president, and senior vice president/general manager.
