June 11th is the Championship Course’s 50th Anniversary

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. – The Championship Course is celebrating its 50th anniversary on June 11, 2014 and to mark this special day IVGID Picture Pass holders are invited to play the course for FREE. There will be two shotgun starts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The morning shotgun is full, but spots are still available in the afternoon slot. Championship Course History:

June 11, 1964– Crystal Bay Development Company opens the Robert Trent Jones, Sr. -designed Championship Course.
1976– IVGID Purchases the Championship Course and the Mountain Golf Course
1983-1989– OB Sports managed the Championship Course
1993– The Championship Course Maintenance Building opens
1995– The Championship Course Cart Barn opens
2003/04– Championship Course renovated by designer Kyle Phillips
2012, 2013– Voted “Best in State” by Golf Digest magazine
June 11, 2014– Championship Course celebrates 50 years with a commemorative event
