South Lake Tahoe 4th of July Police Summary

South Lake Tahoe, CA…From 12:00pm July 4th through 6:00am July 5th the South Lake Tahoe Police Department made 22 arrests in the City for various crimes. There were 5 arrests for DUI, 9 for public intoxication and other alcohol related offenses, 2 for drug offenses, and 6 arrests for other crimes. During the same time period the South Lake Tahoe Joint Dispatch Center generated 201 calls for service including Medical, Fire, & Police. Many calls for service to the Police were for people involved in fights. South Lake Tahoe Police had extra Officers working on the beaches and on patrol throughout the night to handle the increased demand for service.
