Shaggy & Ravon & Black Uhuru Will Headline Fall Harvest Reggae Jam

Stateline, Nev.— Grammy Award winning island music superstars Shaggy & Ravon and the legendary group Black Uhuru will headline separate shows at the Lake Tahoe Fall Harvest Reggae Jam at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa Nov. 19 and Nov. 29.
With a style all his own that fuses reggae, dancehall, hip-hop, R&B and pop, Shaggy’s career has spanned well over a decade, enjoying cross-over success, topping the Billboard charts multiple times with No. 1 songs and winning him a Grammy Award in 1996 for Best Reggae Album “Boombastic.” The Kingston, Jamaica musician and philanthropist, an internationally acclaimed reggae star, has produced music that has been featured in major motion pictures and television commercials.
Shaggy & Ravon, with special guest reggae rocker group Thrive, will headline at Blu Nightclub in the first leg of the Lake Tahoe Fall Harvest Reggae Jam Tuesday, Nov. 19. Lake Tahoe Fall Harvest Reggae Jam continues Friday, Nov. 29 when island music legends Black Uhuru take center stage at Blu Nightclub. Formed in the early 1960s and recognized as reggae music ambassadors, the supergroup has been entertaining audiences for more than five decades.
In 1985 the band made history when the Grammy Awards recognized reggae music as a category and named Black Uhuru’s 1984 classic “Anthem” Best Reggae Album. With 14 full-length albums, seven instrumental dub albums and four live albums they have the highest record sales in reggae music behind Bob Marley.
Black Uhuru will be joined by special guests Mike Pinto and Dubfyah. The show begins at 10 p.m. Tickets cost $20 in advance, $25 at the door and are available through ( or the MontBleu Box Office, 888-829-7630.
