HJTA PAC Rips Phony Tax Group as Special Interest Front

Sacramento – Jon Coupal, President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, exposed the Mother Lode Taxpayers Association as a fake taxpayer organization funded by a quarter-million dollars from Sacramento special interests.

The group appears to have been set up in the last 60 days in the 5th Assembly district which includes parts of El Dorado County, Placer County, Calaveras County and more. Coupal said that he had never seen a taxpayer group created so quickly and in control of such a massive amount of money.

He also noted that fake taxpayer groups like this undermine legitimate taxpayer organizations – like the Howard Jarvis organization.

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC yesterday reaffirmed the endorsement of Rico Oller over Frank Bigelow and has been critical of Bigelow votes to undermine Proposition 13 and make it easier to raise billions of dollars in new property taxes.

Be careful about printing baseless accusations. MLTA is made up of volunteer, passionate citizens, from 3 represented counties, like you and many others. MLTA has been a Taxpayers Association for a couple of years now and has been involved in many other facets of many communities.

Unfortunately, what HJTA and the Oller campaign seem to be trying to accomplish is political posturing. It will not be successful. Frank Bigelow is by far, the best candidate to represent the 5th Assembly district. And THAT, is what this is all about!!!

My real name’s Griswald, but my dad called me Grizzly.

Barak, did your mommy call you Bear?

This is interesting. Bear, why I have never heard of this group? I cannot find anything substantial on Google to believe this is a baseless accusation.

Check out previous endorsements, and the names of the representing board….normal everyday people who reside within represented counties.

      So which one are you?

The Dems are pushing hard for the 2/3rds they need to push through tax legislation in conservative leaning districts the best they could hope for is a “reasonable” or “compliant” Republican. Hence…Frank Bigelow

Alternative: A Proven DO-NOTHING Republican, Rico Oller

Bear–can I call you Barak, or would you prefer the more formal Mr. Morton?

As a republican living in a state ruled by a democrat majority, I think we’d all better pray for a repbulican who makes sure things aren’t getting done. “getting things done” to republicans nowadays means bending over for the democrats to rob up of our freedom. I think I’d prefer a “DO-NOTHING”er over a compromiser with no balls to stand up to socialism. I think I’ll go ahead and vote for Oller.

      RON PAUL 2012!

Doing Nothing might be better than going along with tax increases

Why would a TAXPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION support a candidate who’s voted in favor of changing the 2/3rds threshold for tax increases? I’m pretty sure taxpayers’ associations don’t support raising taxes.

This is just another example of the corruption of special interests in Sacramento.

They endorsed a tax hike in Stanislaus County, even though their website says “We will fight to cut taxes…”

      Talk about inconsistency.
