December 29th, 2011 Ski & Snow Report

Lake Tahoe, CA/NV…Yes there is snow in Lake Tahoe area and there is good skiing and riding to be had. Squaw is reporting a 12″ base and 11 lifts operating.

Diamond Peak is reporting a 36″ yes you read that right….36″ of snow at 8,500 feet and 24″ at 6,700 feet. We have heard from several people that their snow making has been phenomenal this year. They have some runs with impressive vertical feet open and incredible Lake Tahoe views.

Sugar Bowl is reporting a 22 inch base.

Boreal is reporting up to 27 inches and 5 lifts operating. Their lifts are turning from 9am to 9pm everyday.

Northstar is reporting a 18 – 26 inch base and 17 lifts running

Homewood is open with 16 to 24 inches of groomed, machine-made snow, great beginner slopes, lessons throughout the entire day, terrain park features, and a family snow play area.

Alpine Meadows is open with an 18 inch base

Mt. Rose has a 21-24 inch base and 4 lifts running..

Heavenly has 22 lifts and 18-24 inches for your riding pleasure..

Sierra at Tahoe has 6 lifts running on a nice man made base

Kirkwood has 18 – 24 inches with 4 lifts running..
