Incline Village, NV…The North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District is planning on conducting a prescribed burn on Monday and Tuesday, October 17-18, 2011, depending on proper weather conditions and fuel moisture content. The twenty three acre prescribed burn will be in Mill Creek drainage area, off of highway 28.
Smoke resulting from the prescribed burns will affect the surrounding area for approximately 24-36 hours. People that are smoke sensitive are advised to please stay inside and close their windows and doors as much as possible until the smoke dissipates.
