What library services are important to you? What should the library of the future look like? You can express your opinions on these and other topics by completing a simple survey.

The Citizens’ Advisory Committee on the Future of the Washoe County Library System is conducting the survey to obtain public opinion as it moves forward with its recommendations. The survey takes five minutes to complete and can be accessed at . It will also be available on the Washoe County, City of Reno and City of Sparks websites. The survey runs through October 18.

The 17-member Citizens Advisory Committee was formed in November 2010. The committee includes a cross-section of community members and is charged with developing recommendations in several areas, including criteria for expanding, reducing or ceasing operations at branch libraries; service levels in the event that additional budget cuts are required; locations of future branches or other outlets; types of services to be offered; and possible new funding sources.

If you have questions about the survey or about the committee, please contact Arnie Maurins at 327-8431.
