33rd Annual Freaker’s Ball Rocks the House, Oct. 29

October 21, 2010 (Stateline, Nev.) – Whether it’s the 16 ft. clown, lady gaga lookalikes, entire Addams Family, Tricky Dick Nixon, a deck of playing cards, a human lobster bib or a zombified super hero, there’s only one place at South Tahoe to see the outrageous unveil itself through costume and it could be worth a $10,000 in contest prizes.

The 33rd annual Freaker’s Ball, Tahoe’s longest running Halloween party gets its groove going Saturday, Oct. 29, at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa (http://www.montbleuresort.com) with a $10,000 costume contest purse and an estimated 2,500 party-goers.

The Freaker’s Ball has earned its longevity stripes by raising the bar with three parties in one setting that showcases the clever and surreal as revelers create their own flare for the evening festivities.

Freaker’s festivities will be at Blu nightclub, Opal Ultra Lounge and the MontBleu Convention Center and include body painting, go-go dancers, and drink specials. Live music from Pop Fiction will rock the debauchery into the dark good night. Get access to all three venues at one price now before they sell out fast.

Meanwhile, the party will start early when GAME: The R.E.D. Tour arrives at MontBleu Theatre on Friday, Oct. 28. GAME (formerly The Game) went from Gangsta to recharged West Coast hip hop with the Cali-themed classic “The Documentary” which earned him a No. 1 hit single, album and $20 million-dollar film role. Special guest include Mic Rob and DJ Mr Wilson & Quette Daddie.

MontBleu has an enviable entertainment line-up of contemporary artists through November and December – just in time for the ski and snowboard season.

Laughter is the ticket when Christopher Titus performs live at the MontBleu Theate, Saturday, Nov. 5. Known for his “hard comedy” punch lines, Titus weaves dark storytelling and difficult issues that would make some comedians run from the controversy.

To launch the ski season, Heavenly Mountain Resort and MontBleu present “First Tracks Week” with the resort opening Nov. 18 (weather/conditions permitting), a screening of Warren Miller’s “Like There’s No Tomorrow,” Nov. 18-19 along with nightlife and entertainment. “The Sounds of Winter” resonant as Bush, an alternative-rock group, performs hits from their new album “Sea of Memories,” Saturday, Nov. 26. The splash-hit series of indoor Onsen Pool Parties returns for winter starting, Nov. 26. Tahoe’s only indoor playground featuring one acre of swimming pool, Jacuzzi welcomes up to 1,000 guests with drink specials, poolside aerialists, bikini contest and hit DJs.

The 10th Annual Lake Tahoe Adventure Film Festival, Dec. 10, features glimpses from the best action sports films of the year, covering the spectrum of adventure including skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, rock climbing, surfing, skating, mountain biking, BASE jumping and other heart pounding sports. Many of the segments are special edits including previews of movies that have not been released.
