Washoe Golf Course celebrates Grandparents Day with free golf

Washoe Golf Course celebrates Grandparents Day by offering grandparents a free round of golf, nine or 18 holes, when accompanied by a paying grandchild or an adult from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2011.

In addition to a free round of golf, PGA professionals will be on hand at both courses with tips to help players improve their game. For details, visit www.washoegolf.org.

The Grandparents Day Golf Special is one of a series of family day specials offered by Washoe Golf Course each year to help provide residents with affordable golf and as part of the PGA’s Play Golf America initiative.

Check out Washoe Golf’s new Family Executive Course, a beginner-friendly short course that greatly increases the fun of family play has been incorporated into the existing front nine at Washoe Golf Course. Golfers tee off from specially marked yardages along each fairway and use a special scorecard. The Executive Family Course is available from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily. Green fees are only $6. Carts are an additional $6, however, carts are not required to play the Executive Family Course.
