On June 3, the final day of the Tahoe Bike Challenge, witness empty office building parking lots with fully-functioning offices. As part of the Tahoe Bike Challenge and to promote multi-modal transportation at Lake Tahoe, over 60 staff members of the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) and adjoining offices will be biking, walking or using alternative transportation to get to work on Friday, June 3. .
WHO: An ensemble of employees from the TRPA, the Tahoe Transportation District, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, the Environmental Protection Agency, Design Workshop and Ascent Environmental, Inc.
WHERE: 128 Market Street, Stateline, NV at the TRPA main entrance.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 1. Preferably before 9 a.m. when visitors will begin parking in the front lot.
VISUALS: –Empty parking lots, full bike racks.
–“Yes We’re Open” signs at parking lot entrances.
–TRPA staff dressed in matching Tahoe Bike Challenge T-shirts.
