CARSON CITY, NV – At a press conference, Governor Brian Sandoval announced he has appointed Egan Walker as a 2nd Judicial District Family Court Judge.
“I am confident that Egan Walker’s time spent prosecuting cases, working as a nurse and combat medic, and dedicating his talent to pro bono work will provide him with the necessary foundation to be an effective family court judge,” Governor Sandoval said. “His long and established career illustrates his profound respect for the rule of law.”
Currently a Court Master with the 2nd Judicial District Court, he presides over child support enforcement calendars, dedicated adult guardianship calendars and the self-represented litigant. He helped develop the procedures by which the self representation cases are adjudicated.

From 2000-2001, Walker practiced law under his own name and in 2002, Walker partnered with Philip Kreitlein where Walker’s focus was on personal injury, family law, wrongful death, contract disputes and criminal defense.
Walker has also been a Pro Tem judge in Sparks Municipal Court, where he presided over 125 individual court sessions.
Prior to his law career, Walker worked as a licensed nurse from 1986 to 1992.
